Plas Elwy Hotel Brochure |
Plas Elwy Hotel is a small, friendly, family-run hotel providing modern facilities and the comfort expected of a 2 star hotel, yet still retaining the character and atmosphere of a property dating back to 1850.
|
The hotel has thirteen bedrooms in total, seven in the main building and a further six executive rooms in Plas Elwy Lodge which is situated at the rear of the main building. The rooms in the main hotel building provide accommodation which retains the character of the old building, whereas the accommodation in Plas Elwy Lodge is more spacious, of a modern style and with a higher level of facilities. |

The hotel is situated on the edge of St Asaph, just off the main A55 Chester to North Wales route.

We are ideally situated as a base for exploring the North Wales countryside with many places of beauty and historical interest, and also within a few minutes drive from the popular seaside towns of Prestatyn, Rhyl and Colwyn Bay.
The spectacular National Park of Snowdonia is within 45 minutes drive and the beautiful Roman city of Chester, with its excellent shopping is less than 30 minutes distance. There are nine golf courses in a fifteen mile radius.
St. Asaph has long been known ecclesiastically as a city, being the home of the smallest cathedral in Wales or England. It has, however, never achieved city status in the civic sense, having never been given a royal charter. Despite the disappontment of being rejected in its bid for city status both at the Millennium and also at the Queen's Golden Jubilee, St. Asaph still actively presses its case forward and hopes that one day it will achieve the status it deserves.
Just off the main A55 Chester to Holyhead expressway. Take Junction 27 signposted A525 St Asaph and we are the second building on the left. St Asaph centre is just over half a mile further on to the south and the coast at Rhyl is 6 miles to the north.
To Rhyl, express London service (Euston three and a half hours).
The 51 bus service between Rhyl and Denbigh stops outside the hotel. The service runs every 20 minutes during the daytime, but less frequently in the evening and on Sundays.
Manchester Ringway: 50 minutes by road.
